Rawle Marshall battling to keep his roster spot with the Pacers

Blogged under Bloglockers, Need to Step Up, Front Page by Nothing but Net on Tuesday 13 February 2007 at 4:28 pm

Young Rawle Marshall will have a hard time keeping his job unless he starts to do something when he gets on the court.  Marshall has played in 28 games and he’s averaged 10.1 minutes, 2.6 points and 0.9 rebounds per game this season and that will not cut it.  It’s possible that he will wind up in the D-League or just cut.

Jamaal Tinsley needs to play better

Blogged under Need to Step Up, Front Page by Nothing but Net on Tuesday 23 January 2007 at 5:22 pm

Jamaal Tinsley has only shot 32.8% from the floor in his last 6 games and that’s not going to get it done.  In those six games, Tinsley is averaging 10.5 points, 3.7 rebounds, 7.8 assists and 1.3 steals.  If he could just improve his shooting touch, the Pacers would really improve as a team.

Marquis Daniels needs to play better

Blogged under Need to Step Up, Front Page by Nothing but Net on Monday 15 January 2007 at 9:45 pm

The Pacers expected much more from Daniels when they traded for him.  They thought his athletic ability would convey into alot of points off the bench, but they’ve been wrong to this point of the season.  Daniels has played in 33 games and has averaged 15.5 minutes, 4.9 points, 1.7 rebounds and 1.2 assists per game this season.  He also needs to improve his shot selection as he has hit 40% of his shots from the floor.
