T.J. Ford is already in the doghouse for the Indiana Pacers

Blogged under General, Bloglockers, Need to Step Up, Front Page by alleyoop on Tuesday 3 November 2009 at 8:00 pm

T.J. Ford has started 2 games this season for the Pacers but he is only averaging 22.0 minutes, 5.0 points, 2.0 rebounds, 1.5 assists and 1.0 steal per game. Ford has been losing a lot of playing time to Earl Watson so far this season. Watson has played in both games for the Pacers off the bench this season and he is averaging 25.5 minutes, 11.0 points, 2.0 rebounds, 2.0 assists and 1.0 steal per game. Ford is falling pretty far in Coach O’Brien’s eyes if he is looking to play Watson more than him. Hopefully Ford gets his act together soon because the Pacers are a better basketball team when he’s focused and running the offense.

The Indiana Pacers will be without Jeff Foster for a couple of weeks

Blogged under Bloglockers, General, Need to Step Up, Big Pacers News, Front Page, Injuries by alleyoop on Monday 2 November 2009 at 7:29 pm

The Pacers will be without back up center Jeff Foster for a couple of weeks due to a high ankle sprain. Foster has played in 2 games (0 starts) for the Pacers so far this season and he has averaged 9.5 minutes, 1.0 point, 2.5 rebounds and 1.5 assists per game. He will be replaced by Solomon Jones who has played pretty well so far this season for the Pacers. He has played in 2 games (0 starts) for the Pacers this season and he has averaged 24.5 minutes, 7.0 points, 5.0 rebounds, 1.5 assists and 2.0 blocked shots. Jones should do a good job while Foster is out of action.

Troy Murphy looks a little off lately for the Indiana Pacers

Blogged under Bloglockers, Need to Step Up, Front Page by alleyoop on Tuesday 11 December 2007 at 6:48 pm

Forward Troy Murphy has been a little bit off this month as he’s only shooting 35.3% from the floor. In 2 games this month, Murphy is only averaging 18.5 minutes, 8.5 points, 5.0 rebounds and 1.0 assist per game. The Pacers need more from Murphy as they gave up a lot to get him last season.

Kareem Rush has been disappointing to the Indiana Pacers so far this season

Blogged under Bloglockers, Need to Step Up, Front Page by alleyoop on Tuesday 4 December 2007 at 5:31 pm

Maybe the Pacers should have left Kareem Rush in Europe. He has only shot 34.9% from the floor and that was supposed to be the main skill that he brings to the table. Rush has played in 17 games so far this season and he’s averaged 10.8 minutes, 3.4 points, 1.0 rebound and 0.8 assists per game. He will definately start losing playing time if he doesn’t pick up the pace soon.

The Pacers need Jamaal Tinsley to play better

Blogged under Bloglockers, Need to Step Up, Front Page by alleyoop on Sunday 11 March 2007 at 11:30 pm

Jamaal Tinsley has played very poorly as of late and that’s not good.  When a point guard is tossing up a lot of bricks it tends to bog down the offense and that’s been a huge problem for the Pacers as of late.  In his last 5 games, Tinsley has only hit 34.4% of his shots from the floor and he’s averaged 10.2 points, 2.8 rebounds and 5.8 assists.  The Pacers need him to play better if they’re going to have any chance of making the playoffs this season.
