The Pacers outrebounded the Cavs 60-49 last night and they played solid defense in holding the Cavs to 38.6% shooting from the floor, but they got lucky to get the game into O.T. last night as rookie point guard Kyrie Irving of the Cavs missed a shot at close range as time expired in regulation. In O.T., the Pacers turned up the offense as they outscored the Cavs 14-7. Danny Granger only shot 8 of 22 from the floor but he still led the way for the Pacers in this game with 22 points, 7 rebounds, 4 assists, 1 steal and 2 blocked shots. Roy Hibbert (17 points, 13 rebounds, 1 steal and 3 blocked shots), George Hill (15 points, 5 rebounds, 2 assists, 4 steals and 1 blocked shot) and David West (14 points, 10 rebounds, 2 assists and 1 blocked shot) also had solid games for the Pacers last night. Tyler Hansbrough (11 points and 12 rebounds in 25 minutes) and Darren Collison (11 points, 3 rebounds, 4 assists, 1 steal and 2 blocked shots) also pitched in for the Pacers last night. 21-year old starting shooting guard Paul George is off to a really solid start for the Pacers so far this year. George has played in both of the Pacers games so far this year and he is averaging 34.5 minutes, 15.0 points, 5.5 rebounds and 2.0 assists per game. George has also been solid from long range so far this year as he has already hit 6 of 10 (60%) shots from three point range. The Pacers are the team lying in the weeds in the Eastern Conference and George is a big reason for that as he has a huge upside.
