The Indiana Pacers sign Andre Owens

Blogged under Comings & Goings, Bloglockers, Front Page by alleyoop on Wednesday 4 July 2007 at 11:30 pm

The Pacers have signed shooting guard Andre Owens to a 1-year contract.  He only has played in one season in the NBA (2005) with the Utah Jazz.  In that season he played in 23 games and he averaged 9.2 minutes, 3.0 points, 0.9 rebounds and 0.3 assists per game.  He wasn’t the best shooter in the world either as he made 36.5% of his shots from the floor, 18.8% from three point range and 66.7% from the free throw line.  Owens will be a longshot to make the Pacers roster.

Just wanted 2 comment about Indiana Pacer Andre Owens. It’s great 2 see that he done something productive with himself. I went 2 high school with this cat and was in the same graduating class as he. Back then, I think anyone who knew him would describe him as a big joke! He got good grades and played pretty good b-ball then but he was also a clown who found alot of fun in teasing others 2 look good or just disrupting class 2 be the center of attention. It looks like he’s come a ways from then. I am thrilled 2 see that somewhere, he finally grew up. Best wishes Andre!
