The Pacers were outscored 28-14 in the 4th quarter and that’s why they lost last night.  Jamaal Tinsley had a fantastic game last night with 37 points, 6 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 steals.  Mike Dunleavy had a solid game with 11 points, 6 rebounds and 3 assists.

The Pacers just couldn’t keep up with the Cavs last night.  Mike Dunleavy led the way for the Pacers with 25 points and 6 rebounds.  Danny Granger (17 points) and Ike Diogu (16 points, 5 rebounds) each pitched in on the offense for the Pacers last night.

The Pacers need Jamaal Tinsley to play better

Blogged under Bloglockers, Need to Step Up, Front Page by alleyoop on Sunday 11 March 2007 at 11:30 pm

Jamaal Tinsley has played very poorly as of late and that’s not good.  When a point guard is tossing up a lot of bricks it tends to bog down the offense and that’s been a huge problem for the Pacers as of late.  In his last 5 games, Tinsley has only hit 34.4% of his shots from the floor and he’s averaged 10.2 points, 2.8 rebounds and 5.8 assists.  The Pacers need him to play better if they’re going to have any chance of making the playoffs this season.

Mike Dunleavy playing well lately

Blogged under Bloglockers, Steppin Up, Front Page by alleyoop on Sunday 11 March 2007 at 11:25 pm

Over the last 7 games Dunleavy has really stepped up his level of play.  He’s shot 50% from the floor and he’s averaged 14.0 points, 5.6 rebounds and 2.3 assists per game.  The Pacers need Dunleavy to keep playing at this level because the Pacers are an offensively challenged basketball team.

The Pacers will be without Jermaine O’Neal and Marquis Daniels for a few games

Blogged under Bloglockers, Big Pacers News, Front Page, Injuries by alleyoop on Sunday 11 March 2007 at 4:57 pm

The Pacers will be without Jermaine O’Neal and Marquis Daniels for the next three or four games.  O’Neal is impossible for the Pacers to be without as he’s their best player without a doubt.  O’Neal has a sprained left knee and will be missed on both ends of the floor.  O’Neal had played in 54 games this season and he’s averaged 19.7 points, 10.0 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 2.9 blocks per game.  Marquis Daniels has tendinitis in the left knee.  He’s a valuable reserve for the Indiana Pacers who will miss his athletic ability.  Daniels has averaged 17.8 minutes, 7.1 points, 1.8 rebounds and 1.3 assists per game so far this season.  The Pacers could be in trouble as they’ve been fading as of late.
