This was one heckuva comeback win on the road for the Pacers that improved their record to 5-5 on the season.

The Pacers just had a rough time keeping up with the Nets.  Al Harrington led the way with 18 points & 4 rebounds.  Jermaine O’Neal filled up the boxscore with 17 points, 9 rebounds and 3 assists.  Jamaal Tinsley played well at point guard with 16 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists.  Marquis Daniels had a good game off the bench with 14 points, 7 rebounds, 3 assists and 5 steals.  Danny Granger was very active with 12 points, 4 rebounds, 3 assists and 4 blocked shots.  Jeff Foster did alot of the dirty work with 4 points & 11 rebounds.

The Pacers lost a tough on at home last night and fell to 4-5 on the season.

Danny Granger steppin up

Blogged under Steppin Up, Front Page by Nothing but Net on Thursday 16 November 2006 at 10:33 pm

The Pacers have moved Danny Granger into the starting line-up and he’s been everything they have hoped for.  Granger is averaging 11.3 points, 5.0 rebounds, 1.8 assists and 1.0 block per game so far this season.  Granger has been shooting really well this season, hitting 47.7% of his FGs and 46.2% of his 3-pointers.

Granger could probably score more if they needed him to.

Pacers lousy second half leads to beat-down by Celtics, 114-88

Blogged under Front Page by Nothing but Net on Thursday 16 November 2006 at 12:17 am

The Pacers played a horrible basketball game tonight.  The Pacers were out-scored 67-43 in the second half of this game.  The Pacers were ice-cold from the floor, hitting only 38.3% of their shots.  The Pacers also didn’t play any defense as the Celtics shot 50% from the floor and out-rebounded the Pacers 53-33!

Al Harrington had a good game with 23 points and 6 rebounds.  Marquis Daniels gave a good effort off of the bench with 15 points and 3 steals.  Stephen Jackson added 13 points.  Jermaine O’Neal didn’t score much, but he filled up the stat sheet with 8 points, 12 rebounds, 4 assists and 5 blocked shots.

The Pacers have to play better than they did in the second half if they want to win any games on the road.  The Pacers have dropped to 4-4 on the season.

Pacers fall apart in 89-80 loss to Bulls

Blogged under Front Page by Nothing but Net on Sunday 12 November 2006 at 10:24 am

The Pacers were only down 4 points with around a minute to go, when Darrell Armstrong tackled Andres Nocioni on the way to the basket.  The refs called a flagrant foul and a technical, which pushed the lead to 9 points which essentially ended the game!  The Bulls out-scored the Pacers 30-14 in the 4th quarter.  The Pacers were also out-rebounded 51-28 which also hurt the Pacers.

Al Harrington led the Pacers with 19 points.  Second year player Danny Granger added 18 points.  Jermaine O’Neal filled up the boxscore with 12 points, 8 rebounds, 4 assists and 3 blocks.  Stephen Jackson scored 10 points, grabbed 5 rebounds and dished out 6 assists.  Jamaal Tinsley scored 7 points, dished out 9 assists and had 2 steals.

The Pacers need to play smarter as they blew a chance for a big division win on the road.  The Pacers are now 4-3 on the season.
