Point Guards
Maybe this is the season that Jamaal Tinsley realizes how talented he really is. Tinsley has only averaged 9.6 points per game over his career, but he has the potential for more if the Pacers need him to score more. Tinsley has averaged 3.4 rebounds per game, which is good for a point guard that averages 29.5 minutes per game for his career. Tinsley has averaged 6.9 assists per game for his career, and I have a feeling he will top that this season. Tinsley is a good defender with quick hands that has averaged 1.7 steals per game over his career.
Sarunas Jasikevicius had a hard time adjusting to the speed of the NBA. Jasikevicius averaged 7.3 points per game and 3.0 assists as a rookie. The Pacers expect more for their huge investment of cash in him.
Orien Greene was claimed off of waivers from the Celtics in the off-season. Greene played in 80 games and is an athletic player. Greene averaged 3.2 points per game, 1.8 rebounds and 1.6 assists as a rookie last season.
Darrell Armstrong was acquired from the Mavericks in a big trade in the off-season. Armstrong has had a good career, but he might not have alot left in the tank. Over 709 games, Armstrong has averaged 10.1 points per game, 2.9 rebounds, 4.4 assists and 1.5 steals.
